Compression garments after liposuction or ace bandage?

I Just had liposuction of my buffalo hump and the surgeon wrapped the area in an ace bandage.

Hello,Given its location, that part of your neck cannot be adequately compressed with anything, so an Ace wrap is as good as anything else.Best of luck!

Thank you for your question. Compression garments are really based on preference for each surgeon. We tend to use garments rather than a straps because they're more comfortable and easier to use and maneuver on a daily basis after surgery. If the ace wraps or uncomfortable I would mention this to your plastic surgeon.

After liposuction, compression of the tissues is very important, and this is best served with a compression garment.  SAce bandages do not stay ion their proper position for extended periods of time.

It is quite difficult to get good compression over the buffalo hump. Furthermore, some surgeons do not evens compression.
