How many Clear & Brilliant laser treatments are needed?

Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery.

The amount of Clear and Brilliant treatments a patient would need depends on a variety of factors like the patient’s skin condition, treatment goals, response to treatment, etc. The nature of Clear and Brilliant allows it to be customized to each patient’s unique needs and goals, so the number of treatments can vary.  Generally speaking patients can expect around 4-6 treatments.  While you will experience some results after one session, it does require multiple sessions to see full results.  

Clear + Brilliant is a fractional laser at 1440nm. Fractionated lasers use multiple columns of laser light all over the face, so only a portion of the skin is treated at a time. We find a slight improvement in texture and tone after one treatment, but it is minimal. To see the full benefit most patients need 3 to 5 treatments.
