Cheek implants for young male?

There are different styles and sizes of cheek implants, so it is a matter of the surgeon's preference as to which type to use to obtain a normal appearance.  If an implant is used that is too big, it can lead to an abnormal appearance.  Photos or an exam would be needed to determine if the implants might influence the outer eyelid sagging that you feel you have.  

In the age of fillers, cheek implants are much less used as they are more invasive and usually not as natural especially later in life. I recommend filler injection instead for cheek augmentation. Exceptions do exist though.

Depending on your underlying anatomy, there are various shapes and thicknesses that can be chosen. Placing implants around the eye may, at times, add support to the lower lid.To get an idea of what the augmentation may look like, I usually inject a small amount of saline into the area to give the patient a very rough idea.

My suggestion is to go to a physician who treats a lot of younger men and is good with fillers.  Then you can avoid a long term implant.  Some fillers can last a significant amount of time and if placed appropriately can look natural and give amazing contour/structure.  Best, Dr. Emer.
