I have started biting into my cheeks and think this might be due to ageing process. Would cheek implants remedy the situation?

I have started having problems with biting the inside of my cheek. The problem only began in the last year or two. As I'm close to 50, I'm wondering if the problem is loss of skin elasticity in my cheeks, and if so whether cheek implants would remedy the situation

This is a common occurrence as we age, most people will even have a line on the inside of their mouth where the lining is pinched. I have excised excess skin in a few patients.I would suggest starting with your dentist. The vertical height of the teeth decrease as we age. By placing some crowns or veneers they may be able to lengthen the teeth. The next variable to look at is your weight. If you are carrying some extra poundage, consider losing it. At this time I am not familiar with lasing the lining of the mouth. Eventually this will probably be an option. Surgery is the last option, cheek implants will not usually help. The lining can be carefully trimmed.

Check implants are not the answer to you biting the inside of your cheeks.  Consider discussing this with your dentist, also.  Best wishes!
