Answer: Liposuction Burn Treatment This is not a common reaction to any types of liposuction but can occur from any energy based procedure. I suggest you see a cosmetic dermatologist immediately for a wound care evaluation so you do not get as extensive scarring or pigmentation changes. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Burn on Stomach Sorry that has happened. Very hard to give specific wound care instructions over the internet.I believe you need to be seen by another surgeon who is comfortable with wound care and burn care for follow up. Hopefully it is superficial and just heals on its own.

Answer: The treatment of third-degree burns When skin has a thermal or mechanical injury from the deep or dermal surface and it shows these types of symptoms, it is often full thickness, or third degree.Third-degree burns do not heal and need to be treated surgically.Based on the size of the area of skin necrosis, this needs surgical debridement. It is possible that you have tissue necrosis below the skin as well. You need to be in the hands of an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon.Your surgeon should be managing this. The application of KitosCell is not appropriate and shows lack of medical knowledge. The appropriate topical medication should be Silvadene. At this point, you need to undergo excision of the dead skin.If your surgeon is not available or not competent in treating your complication, then you need to go and find one who is.If you cannot find a board-certified plastic surgeon to help you quickly, then you may need to go to an emergency room to be evaluated.Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or if I can be of help.It cannot be emphasized enough that these procedures should only be performed by qualified, board-certified plastic surgeons who are properly trained in doing this surgery and also in managing potential complications. Please seek some professional care sooner rather than later.Best of luck,Mats Hagstrom, M.D.
