Yes, this procedure isconsidered plastic surgery. It´s done by grafting fat from other areas of your body (liposuction) and injecting it into your buttocks.
Thank you for your question. The popular ‘Brazilian Butt Lift’ procedure is utilizes fat grafting to augment the curves of the gluteal region and accentuate the contour from lower back to buttocks. It is an excellent method for augmenting and lifting the buttocks and provides a beautiful, natural result. The procedure is performed by harvesting fat from unwanted areas of the body with liposuction and injecting it into buttocks. For individuals desiring a BBL but do not have enough fat available to be harvested, gluteal implants may be an excellent option for augmenting and enhancing the contour of the buttocks. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery. Best of luck! Yes this is a plastic surgery procedure. Brazilian Butt Lift is a common term for this surgery while the medical term is called liposuction and fat grafting to the gluteus. There are medical codes that are associated with this procedure and are in the realm of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Hope this information helps!- Dr. Roger Tsai
Hi HeidiFlava,Thanks for your question. Some people may not consider a BBL plastic surgery because it is nothing more than Liposuction with fat transfer. Because the incisions are 3 to 5 mm in length, some consider it minimally invasive. However even though you see small scars on the outside everything on the inside is traumatized. This is why it takes a while for the complete healing process after Liposuction. I certainly assure you that performing a Brazilian butt lift is a plastic surgery/cosmetic procedure. I hope this helps explain things better. All the Best,Carlos Mata MD, MBA, FACSBoard-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon#BBL
BBL is a cosmetic plastic surgical procedure and should be performed by qualified plastic surgeons only. It is a combination of liposuction and fat transfer. It is not considered a reconstructive procedure and is not covered by insurance. #BBL #ShapedExtraJuicy #liposuction #fattransfer #BrazilianButtLift #DrSej #fatgrafting #fatsurvival #BBLrecovery #beverlyhills #curves #weightloss #bodysculpting
Hello dear, thanks for your question and provided information as well.... This is the surgicalprocedure that revolutionized cosmetic surgery becoming one of the mostperformed cosmetic procedures. Subcutaneous tissue or fat is removed in orderto contour the body in a way that is harmonious and pleasing to the senses. Itcan be performed in almost all regions of the body such as the neck, chin, abdomen, back, buttocks, thighs, arms and ankles. Usually done through a smallincision in the skin through which a cannula connected to a vacuum is applied,it can be performed alone or in combination with other procedures.
A fat transfer to the buttocks procedure would be considered a plastic surgery procedure. It requires anesthesia and the skill of a board certified surgeon.
A Brazilian butt lift, or BBL, is one of many different types of surgery that fall under the category of Plastic Surgery. Board-certified plastic surgeons are trained from head-to-toe in terms of the scope and types of procedures they offer, and many focus on a select area of expertise.
BBL is in fact a surgery as it involves removal of all of the fat on your body prior to transfer to your buttocks. Sometimes we liposuction up to 3 to 4 Liters of fat in preparation for transfer to your buttocks. These volumes of removal require your surgery to be performed at an accredited surgical facility. Please see examples below.
Thank you for the question.Indeed, the Brazilian Butt lift procedure is "plastic surgery" and should be performed by a well qualified, experienced, board certified plastic surgeon. For better understanding you can see the live surgeries on my snapchat@drjsurgery or the instagram @drjplasticsurgery.Make sure you have a thorough consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who has extensive experience in this procedure. Check her/his experience, credentials, reviews, before and after photos, and have a quality consultation. It is preferred for your surgeon to be member of "American Society of Plastic Surgeons" and ideally member of "American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery". This means they have been evaluated by the society and recognized that the focus of their practice is high volume and quality, honest aesthetic plastic surgery and they adhere to a code of ethics. All my best,
Hello dear, thanks for your question and provided information as well... I recommend you to get to your board certified plastic surgeon with your labs, because sometimes the results may vary, and when we talk about ALT which are reasonably sensitive indicators of liver damage or injury from...
To be honest, recovery from a BBL takes time and care. Since you live together, it is unlikely that you will be able to have this procedure performed and recover appropriately without your boyfriend knowing. You want to have the support of your significant other in your recovery...
I allow my patients to begin sitting for a few minutes as a time after about two weeks or so. You should discuss this with your surgeon.
