I've done 12 sessions of laser hair removal, and my hair is 90% gone, majority still needs lasering in the Brazilian area. Should I go every 6 weeks for just the Brazilian area, and every 12 weeks for whole body? Is 12 weeks too much of a gap? What should my intervals at this stage be?

Without seeing the bites it is a little hard to say. If they are irritated or reddened I would wait until they are completely resolved. If they are small pin like in size and nearly healed then it is reasonably safe to have your hair removal treatment. Make sure the provider you are seeing...
Thank you for your question. All photosensitive medication should be avoided two weeks prior to the any laser service to prevent burns, hyper-pigmentation or scarring. Please consult with your physician to make sure you are a good candidate.
I'm sorry this has happened to you. The darker skin types need the 1064 laser for hair removal and still caution needs to be done. You were over treated and the skin reacted by hyperpigmenting. If the hair is thin and/or inadequate settings are used, there is a risk for paradoxical hair growth...
