Can a non-surgical nose job make a nose smaller?

Well, I’v been looking for best options to make the tip of my nose small (my nose is not bony!) and then I saw a video on Instagram, and I don’t know if it’s real, but the doctor inserted some kind of acid in the nose and then it looked like the nose shrinked!! Is there such a thing? And if there is, would you please tell me what’s the name of it and what should I look for? and how much does it cost usually? And if it’s not, then what would be my best option? Thanks.

Thank you for your question about non surgical nose jobs.  The medical term for this procedure is a Liquid Rhinoplasty.  A liquid rhinoplasty is not permanent like a surgical Rhinoplasty would be, but it offers a wonderful alternative to surgery.  It is difficult to give accurate suggestions without an in person consultation.  Not everyone is a candidate for a non surgical nose job.  Occasionally it is possible to give the appearance of slimming a person's nose with a liquid rhinoplasty, but not always.  Placing filler in this area allows us to contour and give the appearance of a slimmer nose.  
To be sure you receive the best treatment, see two or more experienced, licensed and board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

Adding volume to somebody's nose would never lead to a smaller nasal appearance. Fillers may be utilized to camouflage irregularities, however, the nose will not get smaller. Dear NaC70,dermal fillers are a great option for treatment of small nose asymmetries and dorsal hump, but it won't make your nose smaller. If you are considering a treatment, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. The shaping of the nose with filler can make it appear smaller, despite it having a very small amount of volume added.  It's an illusion caused by a better balance achieved on the face. Non-surgical rhinoplasty should be performed by a surgeon who performs surgical rhinoplasty for many reasons. They understand the anatomy intimately, they understand the limitations of the non-surgical treatment and can offer you the full range of treatments, including surgical if that is best in your case. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to go over your desired results. Facial fillers (voluma, restylane, juvederm) can be used to improve the symmetry of the nose. However, it won't make the nose smaller. Surgery would be needed to improve nostrils or overall shape. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

A non surgical rhinoplasty performed with filler will help blend the angles of your nose to make the lines appear more smooth and proportional.  This can be performed with a hyaluronic acid filler such as VOLUMA which can also be reversed with a hyaluronidase injection in case you do not like the look. A surgical rhinoplasty can be performed to help shave down the hump. Although volume is being added to the nose, the overall appearance is more balanced and the nose may appear smaller. Surgical rhinoplasty is permanent but with a little more downtime. For the best treatment options, it is important to visit an expert for an in-person examination.
