Can I stop wearing compression garment 8 weeks post op tummy tuck and muscle repair?

Is it safe to not wear a compression garment/ spanx, 8 weeks after my tummy tuck and muscle repair even though I do still have swelling? My garment is difficult to put on, difficult to take off and uncomfortable to wear.
