i don't know why people think that what they read on the internet is remotely reliable;)

you didn't damage your eyes permanently by smoking pot post-LASIK or LASEK

the reason you're not supposed to do this is that the smoke irritates the cornea, and can actually cause a relative anesthetic cornea, so you don't feel your cornea normally, don't blink normally, and dry out the surface, which delays healing

all you have to do is not smoke for a month and take lots of preservative free artificial tears in vials, like one drop every hour, and get more sleep than normal

once you're 20/20, then i guess you can go back to weed, which is pretty much what i tell my pot-head patients;)

the thing about the pressure in your eye or whatever is totally wack (and i don't mean like crack!) pot can cause the pressure in your eye to go down, which is why some pot-heads ask me to prescribe it for glaucoma, but i always refuse, as there are many great glaucoma drops out there now, so i haven't seen a single case when a patient's IOP cannot be controlled with modern meds but can be controlled with pot. once i find that unique patient, then i'll be happy to prescribe for medical marijuana!:)
