Candidate for tattoo excision? (Photo)

I have a 3x2 tattoo of a fox on my right thigh and I was interested in getting a tattoo excision, I am not interested in laser removal because my schedule is tight and I would like the tattoo gone in one day and I would prefer a scar to this hideous tattoo. I have enclosed a picture of my tattoo, are there any doctors in the Chicago area that are willing to do tattoo excisions? Because all I am coming across are laser removal...please any feedback will help!

No, 4 weeks wait time should be fine between treatments for the Q-switched laser. The longer you wait, the more time your body has to absorb the ink, but you always have to weigh that against your timeframe for ridding yourself of your tattoo. My best, Dr. Sheila Nazarian @drsheilanazarian...

I would definitely recommend laser tattoo removal with the new PicoSure versus excision for this area. The latter will leave you with a very unsightly scar. My best, Dr. Sheila Nazarian @drsheilanazarian on Instagram

Personally, I will always recommend that you avoid tanning beds. They are bad for you in so many ways. But its really not a good idea when your skin is still sensitive from laser tattoo removal. My best, Dr. Sheila Nazarian @drsheilanazarian on Instagram

In general, I don't like to laser this close the eye, but you should be fine. Your swelling should resolve on its own. Try cold compresses. My best, Dr. Sheila Nazarian @drsheilanazarian on Instagram
