Dear babehh2129, Liposuction is a 2 part process, the first part is the removal of the fat and the second is the skin retracting. You are very early in the healing process, and it is not surprising that you are still swollen - you probably still retaining some fluid from the procedure itself. Be patient and wait 6 months to a year to judge the final results. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. You are still very early in the post - operative recovery period. Swelling will slowly subside over the next three - six months. You may wear a compression garment over the next several months if you feel it helps. Many patients prefer spanx for compression. Hope this helps and good luck with your recovery.
Most swelling lasts for about 6-8 weeks but there may be a small amount of residual swelling for up to 4-6 months.
Congratulations on your procedure! For liposuction, 3 days is very very early - you are definitely swollen and would not see your contour at this point. Many patients feel heavier and larger than they did pre-operatively! The swelling will start to resolve between 3 & 6 weeks post-operatively, and most of the swelling will be gone by 3 months. Most patients continue to heal and improve up to 6 months post-operatively. Best of luck in your recovery and for a long-term result you love.
Thank you for your question. Depending on the type of liposuction, you may be swollen for up to 6 months, with the majority of swelling having subsided after about 3 months. Right after the procedure is performed, the tissues get very swollen; this is normal. So, most of the times it won't look like anything is really done for the first 7-10 days after the procedure. Rest assured, this is normal. I typically have patients in compression garments for at least the first 6 weeks after the procedure to help with bruising and swelling - if you have any concerns, please speak directly with your Plastic Surgeon. Best of luck!
