How long will it take to close my two front teeth gap? (photo)

Question

I've had this gap for years and I wanted to know if I could get an estimated time I would have to have braces on. Every tooth is straight an together expect my two front teeth which have been separated for years. How long would it take to fix the gap with braces? In the picture my teeth look crooked and not together. This is because the camera I was using was shaking while the picture was being taken.

Well, there is a fast way and then there is an immediate way.  The fast way:  Any excellent cosmetic dentist should be able to close this gap in the front by treating you with Invisalign for about 11 months.  This would cost you about five or six thousand dollars and give you great results.  If you do choose this option, I would recommend asking your cosmetic dentist to whiten your teeth while you wear Invisalign.The immediate way:  You could have your front gap closed by getting veneers placed on your teeth.  I would probably recommend doing 4 teeth across the top front, just to give a natural appearance.  The cost would likely be about $5k, and would not require whitening. There are pros and cons to each way, but I would recommend going to a cosmetic dentist because they may give your more options than just braces.  Good luck and I hope this helps. The gap in the picture doesn't look too severe. You can get a very close estimate of treatment time by having impressions and records taken of your upper and lower teeth. If you would want to close the gap in front and not have other gaps open up, all teeth need to be considered and fit together! Good luck.
