Can i remove my canine tooth? (Photo)

Based on your photo, I can definitely see why your dentist may have recommended removing your canine.  I can tell you this ... I have had patients that want their teeth fixed quick fast and in a hurry, and I have removed one of their canines to make this happen.  In these cases, I have never had any adverse outcomes several years down the road.  With that said, if you are not in a hurry, I would recommend trying metal braces or even Invisalign.  Yes, I said Invisalign because I have had some great experiences using Invisalign to treat canines similar to your's.  I would recommend getting a couple opinions and basing your final decision on the before and after patient photos of the doctor you select.  Good luck and I hope this helps. Not sure who "he" is, but "he" doesn't sound like a dentist or one with much experience.  If this were MY tooth or my daughters, I would do braces.  If a tooth needed to be pulled (doesn't look like it) it should NOT be the canine (usually a premolar).  This looks like a simple braces case at first glance.  You CAN do anything, but CAN and SHOULD are not the same.
