I just had tumescent liposuction on my abdomen, im now 2 weeks post op and I am very sore in some spots. I was curious on how long this soreness will last and if there is any way to reduce this?

Answer: Soreness post lipsuction Every patient differs however some soreness 2 weeks post op is not alarming. Continue to wear your supportive garment and take it easy on activity. Light walking is usually encouraged but no full work outs yet. You can take Tylenol for pain or your prescribed pain medications. You should see some relief soon!Best regards,

Be sure to follow your physician's instructions for activity, but generally I have found that movement usually makes patients feel better rather than inactivity. Be sure to discuss everything with your physician, but if allowed, try to progressively become more active and be sure to include gentle stretching. Yoga and Pilates are great ways of incorporating gentle movement into your post-procedure recovery.
