I recently had a bbl/ lipo sculpture Feb 24th, 2017. About 3 days after my procedure, as I sat on a foam piece to use the restroom, I started getting this sharp, sudden, shooting pain on my upper side/ back of my left thigh (underneath my butt cheek) and it only comes when I apply certain amounts of pressure, whether it'd be using my left leg to get up first/ squating or when I sit on it. It went away for about a month and I recently developed it again. What could this be?

I recommend that my patients sit on a pillow for the first six weeks following surgery. Sitting for half an hour at this point in your recovery should not cause any issues. If this continues to worry you, schedule a post-op with your surgeon.Kenneth B. Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic S...
