Tummy tuck, lipo, breast aug and fat transfer to buttock. How long after surgery can I drink. I’m 55. Give me two time frames - at least how long and best case scenario. Thank you.

Answer: Alcohol The answer to your question really depends on what you mean by "drink". During the beginning of recovery patients typically receive narcotic based pain medication for pain management. You should not consume any alcohol until after you are no longer taking this medication. A few weeks after surgery an occasional alcoholic drink should be fine as long as you are healing normally. Excessive alcohol consumption is not recommended.

Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear SkinnyCoach, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery.
