On one side of my mouth I have an extra line and I was wondering if these are considered smile lines or dimples? I want to get dermal filler for my smile lines but i’m worried if this extra line is a dimple, will filler make it go away?

this is normal folds and wrinkles. start at home dermarolling and in office morpheus for tightening. fillers can be used for the fine lines.

at home peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (EmerageSkin roller with anteage AERIFY MD ampules weekly, see link) should be started now to prevent further aging.

For facial rejuvenation,  I would suggest a combination approach of 
1) skin care with products and PRP/microneedling
2) PDT light therapy few times a month with growth factors
3) laser treatments like clear and brilliant regularly and a few times a year Fraxel/halo Viva, Co2/Erbium
4) Sculptra injections a few times a year for collagen production with fillers like juvederm/restylane/belotero/radiesse/bellafill
5) thermage/ultherapy for yearly skin tightening with or without PDO or cone based instalift threads for lifting
6) botox every 2-3 months to stop movement lines and prevent lines at rest
7) deep microneedling RF like Fractora/morpheus8 for tightening of the skin
8) Vascular laser like vbeam/excel V or BBL forever young treatment every quarter (3-4 months)

I always encourage/advise patients to do treatments for the problems that makes you feel uncomfortable/conscious. If you like this line as a dimple, leave it alone. If you think it bothers you then you can simply fill the line with filler and get rid of it.

Hello and thank you for your question. It is always best to see you face to face for a consult and examination however in this case from the photo this looks like a line that appears on movement. Filler can work here but it would need to be relatively superficial or a skin booster type product to get the best result.  I hope that helps answer your question. Yes those are your smile lines.  Filler may soften a bit bit not go away.  It is the your muscle movement and is completely normal.
I would have a consult with an expert injector to discuss your options.
