I have unfortunately had many patients come to me after having their high hopes for buttock/hip augmentation crushed by measly Sculptra results or other "fillers" such as Radiesse, Renuva and Juvederm, etc. Other than the fact that these are not FDA approved for buttock/hip injections, here are some critical points of awareness: 1) they all are temporary, lasting 1.5 - 2 years at very most, 2) if done correctly dermal fillers like Sculptra or Renuva are cost prohibitive for 99.99% of potential buttock/hip augmentation patients. In order to create a significant/noticeable result with a dermal filler, at least 200 mls of active product (not just “total ccs of fluid injected” of which contains mostly saline not Sculptra) must be injected into each buttock cheek for a minimum total of 400 mls. At $1000 per ml, this equates to a minimum price of $400,000.00. Thus if your doctor is recommending to put in ONLY 20 or 40 mls of these fillers you will pay $20,000-$40,000 and get an insignificant miniscule result! (eg. like a “drop in the ocean” effect), 3) Do not let anybody tell you that the product is so special that it's going to magically grow over the following months or years...this just doesnt happen to any noticeable degree!, 4) dermal fillers, when injected in large quantities, have a relatively high infection rate, guaranteed tendency to migrate away from the original area they were injected into, and almost always stimulate a lot of inflammation with a subsequent and disastrous amount of scar tissue/hardening, and 5) the one very serious complication that can rarely ( less than 1%) happen is "embolism" in which some of the filler gets into the blood stream and travels up into the lungs, heart, and/or brain causing serious problems, including death. The only relatively safe, reliable, and permanent option for buttock and hip dip augmentation is with implants. Hope this all helps you make a better informed decision and saves you a lot of your otherwise hard earned money.
No compression garment is required. If you choose Sculptra for butt lift then 4-6 weeks between treatments, If you do EMsculpt butt lift then weekly treatments.Be well,Dr. Deborah Marciano
Dear Reliable931431,I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
You don't need to wear compression garment for the buttocks after your Sculptra or non surgical BBL injections. After care includes manual massages several times on the buttocks for 5 days, no hard sitting and no sleeping on your back for 2 months. You will need several injections to get your desired look for non surgical BBL, spacing is done 6-8months after last injection. Please consult with a board certified cosmetic surgeon for your treatments.
I don’t know what a nonsurgical BBL is. A BBL is liposuction combined with fat grafting to the buttocks so your terminology seems a bit off.I suggest you ask your provider. If you don’t have one I suggest having multiple in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons.Fillers are not an option for gluteal augmentation as a general statement.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
Dear ON,BBL is a popular body contouring procedure that can give a beautiful curve to your back side.Sculptra filler can be used to give buttock shape and fill dimples, multiple sessions are needed.Fat transfer with liposculpting can give the biggest difference in curve and silhouette for my patients. It takes about 2-3hours for the procedure. Compression should be worn around the waist for a a couple months but no compression is mandatory for the buttock.Avoid sleeping on your bottom for 3 months, and you may resume exercising within two days of the procedure!Best. Hi! You would of course need a consultation to discuss your goals of a non-surgical BBL, but from your photos you look like a great candidate! Sculptra has minimal recovery, and is a great alternative for low BMI patients.
If you ever wanted to redefine and improve the shape and appearance of your backside Sculptra butt injections are a simple and effective way to achieve that. Sculptra unlike other fillers increases volume as it induces collagen production. So the solution itself is not the one that produces the...
We do sculptra mixed with fillers like radiesse or renuva or bellafill. hip dips can be treated with fat grafting too. Sculptra with the right dilution doesn't cause nodules in the buttock and is very safe. It should be combined with RF treatments to get the sculptra to work even bette...
