Tattoo over hair laser removal?

Question

I had 8 sessions of laser hair removal on my legs. My last one will be done 8 days before a tattoo session on the same area. Will my skin react to the ink?! Or is it safe ? I never had any pigmentation problems.... Thanks

do not do a hair removal laser over a tattoo.  I suggest seeing an expert and getting your tattoo after your hair removal is all done. Best, Dr. Emer.

As long as there is no reaction from the laser hair removal such as crusting or redness, it is safe to tattoo the area.  You will not be able to have laser hair removal over the tattoo later, so make sure you are happy with the hair removal.

Your skin should be OK for the tattoo 8 days later. The area should be inspected first by the tattoo artist. if you are still worried confirm with the physician at the laser center on how long you should wait before a tattoo on the laser area.

The area should be ready for tattooing 8 days later. If the tattoo artist feels that the skin is sensitive then deay rest of tattoo sessions.
