Why do I have hair on my forehead? I am a 20 year old Hispanic female.

Question

I have posted a lot of questions regarding my hairline but another problem is the hairs I have on my forehead. They are really noticeable. They are fine and dark hairs. And they integrate into my hairline so I do not have a clean hairline due to all the excess hair on my forehead. If I got a hair transplant for my hairline would I get laser hair removal for my forehead hairs or would that interrupt the new hair growth the transplant would give?

This is common in darker skin types and can be treated with lasers (microsecond yag, diode, alex) or electrolysis. all my patients are also on vaniqa.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Hi Maritza,, when you have laser hair removal you shave the area that you want treated so you can define where you want the hairline.  It's not clear why you would need a hair transplant if all you are trying to do is get rid of forehead hair. You can treat forehead hair with laser. I treat orthodox Jewish women with low hairlines that want their hairline raised. I do not understand the comment about a transplant. If you mean you have a thin hairline and some hairs on your forehead both procedures can be done but see a hair transplant surgeon for a consult and get an individual.kzed treat,ent.
