Swelling after laser hair removal on bikini area two weeks later, will it go down on it's own?

I had lasor hair removal done on my full bikini exactly two weeks ago, on the fourth day after treatement my right labia had swollen to double in size and was very warm and sensitive, it felt more like a burn than a boil, but within 24 hours it had gone down, now 2 days ago I started to notice the shredding of my hair and yesterday my labia has swollen in the same place again and is still swollen today (24 hours later) what could this be? Will it go down on its own?

There can be some swelling after a laser hair removal treatment, which resolves in 1-2 weeks. However, based on your description, it doesn't sound like this is related to your laser hair removal treatment. Thank you for your question. Yes, there can be swelling after laser removal treatment. This typically resolved in 1-2 weeks. Although, based on your description your swelling does not sound like it is related to your laser hair removal treatment. If you were burned during your treatment you would see the complications immediately. These symptoms do not come and go like have described. This is obviously not normal and needs evaluation. I'm not sure of the problem but a non healing burn or infection need to ruled out. Don't have another treatment until this is sorted out.

Thank you for your question.  It's highly unlikely your symptoms are related to your LHR treatment.  If you were burned during your treatment, the complications would appear almost immediately.  Burn injury symptoms do not come and go; it should only gradually get better.  It could be something as simple as your clothes rubbing differently now that don't have hair in that area.  If it continues to bother you, you should probably make an appointment with your GYN.  Best of luck.
