I had 4 sessions of hair removal to thin my beard 2.5 yrs ago which I regret. Will it ever return to how it was?

Thank you for your question. For the most part the hair will not regrow. However there is a chance a product like Latisse might help it grow back, but that may be irritating to your skin. Good luck!

When you have treatments with a laser to remove hair, the follicles that grow the hair are essentially destroyed.  If there are no follicles left in the area, you will not be able to grow hair like you were before.  What you are seeing now in regrowth is most likely the only growth you will see.  Regards, Dr. D

No. Your hair on your beard will not grow back. The only way to resolve the patchiness is to either graft hair to beard or to remove the rest of your beard hair. Removal can be done with laser or surgical excision. 

At this point, the hair that you have is probably what it will look like for the future. I have never been a fan of treating the beard area because of the patchiness you describe.
