So I have booked the PDL (Regenlite). A package of 6 Regenlite and 6 Revlite (advanced Q-switch laser?) is offered (12 Regenlite if omit the other). I'm told Regenlite is for killing bacteria, Revlite is for cleaning.. but all I'm expecting is only getting rid of new acne, would the cleaning laser be necessary? They're suggested once every 2 weeks (assuming Revlite is involved), in turns. But some say PDL can prevent acne for roughly 3 months? What would be your suggestions? Thanks a lot!!

Hi there. In some situations I have done both procedures on the same day, with low energy pulsed dye laser first.
After a chemical peel, however, I would wait at least 2 weeks before having pulsed dye laser.
Hope this helps. Dr. Sawyer
As mentioned, efficacy from pulsed dye lasers is related to destruction of blood vessels with expected bruising and unfortunately, potential for hyperpigmentation, hence the need to use such products. Link is provided for more information.
