I'm about 13 days post op, my nose looks like a pig snout and is upturned although i did specify i didn't want it to be upturned or piggy like. will it drop? and if so how long will it take? thank you :) its very embarrassing going to work and everyone being able to look into your nostrils and see all the stitching..

Answer: Upturned nose after Rhinoplasty It's too soon to tell what your final result will be. You have to give yourself some more healing time. Your nose and surrounding areas are going to be swollen for a while and you should be consulting the surgeon that performed the procedure but give yourself some time before going back in so some of it can subside. It can take up to a year for final results. Sincerely, Philip J. Miller, MD, FACS Double Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Upturned nose 2 weeks after rhinoplasty It is not unusual for the tip of the nose to appear upturned during the recovery from rhinoplasty. This issue normally improves over time as the swelling resolves and the healing takes place. It can take 6-12 months for all of the healing to occur but you most likely will begin to see some improvement before that time.
