My legs are more swollen today than after my op. How long does it take for the glue to disappear?
Answer: Post Liposuction Irregularities, Swelling, Wound It sounds as if the wound will heal on its own or needs silicone based scar gel. Please speak to your physician. Any abnormal pain, open wounds or drainage needs to be assessed. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Post-op Liposuction drainage Hi ALM,Thanks for your question. It is extremely normal to drain from your liposuction sites. Especially the lowest incisions made as gravity will put most of the fluid at that location. It is better to have the fluid drain out than to have the body absorb it. It will make your recovery faster. If you have any doubts talk to your plastic surgeon. Good Luck. All the best, Carlos Mata MD, MBA, FACS

Answer: Liposuction Thank you for your question. I would suggest making an appointment with your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. Your surgeon will provide you with the best answer after an in person follow up. Day 3 through day 5 is maximum swelling. After that you should start to see it get better. Some swelling remains up to 3-4 months after surgery. Good Luck!

Answer: Leaking incision This is probably not anything to worry about, however if your swelling is getting worse rather than better, I would encourage you to get with your plastic surgeon for an exam. Usually after the first 3-4 days, swelling starts getting better, not worse. Best of luck.
