How soon to get lip fillers after major surgery?

I am scheduled to have a major hip surgery at the end of the month (derotational osteotomy). I won't be confined to bed rest but I will surely have limited mobility for a while. I've been thinking about getting lip fillers for the first time (with dental block because I'm too scared of needles), how long should I wait after the surgery not to incur any risks? No known health issues, generally healthy. Thanks!

I would say you should wait 6-8 weeks after your surgery before getting any sort of filler done.  This is a very conservative estimate of time.  In reality you can probably get it done sooner but I would air on the side of caution in this case seeing as you are having a pretty major surgery done and your hip is more important than your lips.  I would also recommend that you consult your orthopedic surgeon to make sure they do not have any sort of time restrictions in regards to getting your lips done
