I had laser hair removal in between my eyebrows and they have removed part of main eyebrow. When will it grow back?

This was my 6th session and up until then, it was successful but I had a different person using the laser on me and they have caught the side of both of my main part of my eyebrows and caused the hairs to burn and it looks very badly shaved and curly hairs and horrible at the sides.... :( When will it grow back if it does (time) or will the laser mean some won't grow back permanently so I have to change my eyebrow shape/style....if that makes sense? Thanks!!!

I’ve heard of this
happening. It can be quite scary but the hair should grow
back in about 4-8 weeks.  You may not get
every hair back but the majority of hairs will grow in. Give it time, you may have to change the shape of your brows but it's too early to tell.  After all, laser hair removal takes several
treatments to get the desired results so fortunately one treatment will not
give you a permanent loss of those hairs.

I am sorry to hear about the trouble you have had after laser hair removal of your eyebrows.  It is not clear whether the hair will recover or not.  It is reasonable to expect that after a single treatment you may not have had permanent damage.  Another issue that is raised is the relative safety of using hair removal lasers around the eyes.  There have been cases of ocular injury reported despite the apparent use of safety precautions.  You might consider turning to you electrolysis or other options to contour your brows.  Best of luck!

Thank you for your question. Because this was the only treatment that this happened, you have a good chance of the hair regrowing. Make sure once the hairs start growing back that you don't tweeze in that area to even them out as they grow. Hair growth can take awhile so be patient, you can use Latisse on that area to help speed up the growth process. Best Wishes,Pablo Prichard

Well, laser hair removal usually requires several treatments, so the good thing here is that you only had one treatment where this occurred. However, you most likely will have some hairs that were permanently altered and may never grow back. If you want to speed up the growth cycle, get a bottle of Latisse. This will stimulate the follicles capable of hair growth to grow at a faster rate. And you'll be able to tell which hairs are gone for good, and then decide if you need to alter your brow shape. Eyebrow hairs usually grow in a 6-8 week cycle. "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and
