I already have melasma on my cheeks. now,my upper lip has darkening in the pattern laser was applied. could this be melasma again?

Dark pigmentation on the skin can be due to melasma, age spots, and sun damage. Melasma is a specific hormonally-influenced skin condition in which pigmentation is deposited by overactive pigment cells in your skin.

Close clinical examination can confirm or deny the diagnosis. I suspect it is if you do have melasma on your cheeks. The other possibly is PIH or skin darkening from the laser itself. I suggest you consult a Dermatologist, there are treatments such as HQ creams and low dose lasers that can help reduce melasma .
