Concerned about small hole on incision - breast uplift no implant, 6 wks post op. (photos)

Thank you for your question and pictures this is not uncommon after a breast lift to have a small wound opening just keep it dry and covered and continue to follow up with your PS to discuss your concerns.

I understand your concern and I am sorry to hear about what you are experiencing. While there is no visible signs of infection on your open incision site, it is still difficult to assess the site with mere pictures.  It is best that you visit a board certified plastic surgeon to have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Congrats on your good result so far. A breakdown at the "T" junction of the incision is fairly common. It just needs good wound care. A GP is unlikely to do wound care, you need to see a surgeon to learn proper care. Good luck.

Thank you for submitting your questions and photos.  These wounds after breast lift are common and can occur for many reasons, such as irritation, excess moisture, reaction to suture, etc.  Generally, if you keep this area clean and covered to prevent further irritation, it should slowly heal on its own.  Applying an ointment to keep it moist can help.  Your plastic surgeon can recommend a product for you.  Of course, contact your surgeon if you develop any spreading redness or fever.

Thanks for posting your photos and question.  Congrats on your surgery.  You have a small wound at the T junction which can happen.  There are no signs of infection.  This normally heals with good wound care.  Ocassionally there may be a stitch in the wound which will need to be removed.  Recommend that you contact a surgeon or clinic that performs breast surgery to get advise and support for your wound.  Good luck.
