Buccal fat removal/PDO threads? Advice on facial procedure please.

Question

Hello, I've recently had a chin implant and neck liposuction 4 months ago and I'd really like to address my lower cheeks now. The problem is, I just don't know what's best for them! My surgeon has suggested Buccal Fat but I'm not sure if this will give me the results I want. I'm not sure if Buccal Fat will improve or make this worse. I just want a better contour in the cheek area and have it slimmed down slightly. Any advice?. Another option would be to try PDO threads first. I'm 36 years old.

Fulness and sagginess of the lower anterior cheeks are usually secondary to large buccal fat and poor lateral cheek bone definition. Buccal fat removal is a plastic surgery procedure that could help to improve the fullness of the lower anterior cheek. Careful lateral cheek augmentation with soft tissue filler like voluma (hyaluronic acid) can help to "lift" the skin of the lower face, thus improving the sagginess of the skin in that area. Some times if the patient has early jowls, they could be improved with liposuction performed with a very small cannula.
