I am a 19 year old female. However, I am fairly flat chested. Any suggestions?

Thank you for your question.  Without photos and more importantly, an in-person evaluation, it is nearly impossible to assess your breasts.  However based on your description alone, there is unlikely anything "wrong" with you.  You simply have small breasts.  If you are looking to improve the size and overall appearance of your breasts, you should be seen in person by a board-certified plastic surgeon to be evaluated for a breast augmentation.All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL

Without seeing you in person, it is impossible to say what is going on, but every woman develops differently and some just don't have large breasts. If yours are upsetting you then schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to discuss a breast augmentation. My best,

Thank you for the question.  There is nothing wrong with you.  Breast asymmetry is not uncommon and is one that can be fixed.  Careful breast augmentation is the most common way to enhance the breast.  Visit a board-certified plastic surgeon and

People go through puberty at different rates and certainly there is such a thing as a 'late bloomer.' By age 19 most of development is complete - this means one of two things: either you have completed any growth you will have, or your development is delayed and needs evaluation by an endocrinologist or internal medicine doctor. Ultimately, you may be a good candidate for breast augmentation but this would only be after determining that your growth is normal and complete. I hope this helps.

There are a few women who develop late and a few who never develop much breast tissue. Your family doctor can check your hormone levels to make sure all are normal. Then, you might want to meet with a board certified plastic surgeon and discuss all your options.

Breast development proceeds at different rates based on many factors, genetics being the most important. It may be that your breasts will develop more in the next few years, it is not too early to have a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options.

Many women present with similar complaints of lack of development and the best option is to consider placement of small breast implants to enhance your shape and size. Excessive sized implants have risks so I advise you to be somewhat conservative commensurate with the amount of skin that you do have and its distensability. If your skin is very tight it will become more relaxed with an implant in place and in future years a larger implant may readily be position if necessary.When you are ready and have discussed this with your family seek consultation with an ABPS board-certified plastic surgeon to see photos of other patients and review your options. At 19 years of age you will not get any significant increase in breast tissue volume. There is definitely nothing wrong with you, it is just a developmental issue for which we often have no answer other than genetics. Volume increase can be attained with a breast augmentation surgery when you are ready for that.
