İt's normal for new growing hair starting to get native characteristics, waviness, curl in first 6-7 months..This actually takes 10-13 months for hair to become full mature , as thick and bright  as native hair. ıf you need more density , you would better plan to have  a second op .

It can take up to a year to get your full density so things may improve on their own.  If not, a second procedure could add more density.  Alternatively, use of scalp micropigmentation can make your hair seem thicker. 

At a year you have probably 95% of the growth that can be expected. If this growth does not meet your expectation, then go back to your doctor and discuss this. You would want to ask if all of the grafts grew, if not, what he would do about it.
