Can I Have Liposuction if I Have Chronic Lyme Disease?

I have had Lyme disease for a few years. It is under control and being treated with homeopathic medicine. Would it be safe to get liposuction on my love handle area and inner thighs? I do not think that my illness would affect the healing process if I were to get the surgery, but are there any other risks?
