Will a Lipoma on my Scalp Near my Ear Be the Cause of my Tinnitus?

i have had the lipoma since birth, I am a 38 yr old female, and developed tinnitis at age 30. I don't use any OTC drugs or illicit ones either. :) just curious, ive learned to live with my tinnitus and well, the lipoma is no big deal, even though I swear i think it's "traveling" further down, but it could be cuz its getting larger in size...?

If the mass on your scalp is truly a lipoma, it should not be the cause of tinnitus. There are other types of masses that could cause tinnitus, so if you haven't already, I would see an ENT (otolaryngology) doctor to be evaluated.

If you have tinnitus at 38 years old you should seek an evaluation with an Otolaryngologist to determine the cause. It might be due to underlying hearing loss but there are other causes that should be ruled out. This does not result from a lipoma on the face but you should also inquire during your consultation about the fact that the lipoma seems to be "traveling" over time.
