Dents above my upper lip - what to use that is thick enough to fill them? (photo)

this needs a combination approach.
1) botox to stop the movement lines
2) filler reversal and reinjection
3) lasers and plasma pen to improve the wrinkles and at home dermarolling (see link)

facelifts will not improve this at all and neither will lip lifts. not one treatment will improve it either this is from a combination of age and previous bad treatments. Best, Dr. emer.

Restylane Lyft is an excellent filler choice for elevating and smoothing all kinds of indentations, wrinkles and folds. Properly injected, at a sufficient depth, it can give a gratifying lift without engendering the Tyndall Effect. However, what I find most troubling in the question is the implication that you must be the one to know which filler to use. This should be a decision made by your injector. You would be wise to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist or other core aesthetic physician and defer to his/her experience as how best to treat these dents and what to use to do so. Thank you for sharing your question and photograph. It appears that the filler is too close to your skin surface and should be dissolved with greater volume to the upper lip created by a thinner filler placed beneath the skin surface.

Hi and thanks for your question! In our clinic, we like to use products like Juvederm Volbella, Restylane Silk or Restylane Refyne around the mouth for peri-oral dents, lines and creases. Out of those three products, Restylane Silk has the highest "G prime" which means it will give the most support to the tissue it is injected into. Each individual has unique anatomy and skin. It is imperative to see a Registered Nurse in a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon's office to get a thorough consultation. During this time, the provider should let you know which product will yield the best result for you. Good luck!

Thank you for your question! Those dents look like areas of volume/collagen loss which is natural with the aging process. If you are opposed to doing filler you could do platelet rich plasma or PRP injections around the mouth to help stimulate some collagen growth. I would also suggest doing botox for the upper lip as well. Ideally, filler will help add volume to these areas as well and you could always keep up with the juvederm but I do not feel as though the juvederm caused these "dents". Hope this helps!
