I had two cold sores on each side of my cupids bow,the result left me with a bulge on each side that is very noticeable what can be done?

This is an interesting question and one I have never been asked before as a cleft lip surgeon.  Most of the time I am trying to give my patients more philtral definition.  Any surgery here could easily upset the delicate balance of the movements of the lip

In general, there is very little fat in this area. It tends to consist of skin and muscle. Removing muscle can result in movement irregularities. Removing the lining of hte lip may decrease the protrusion than the entire lip but would be difficult to do selectively.
