Experiencing hair loss post-Accutane. Initially thought telogen effluvium, but now itching with postules and widening part. Biopsy revealed scar tissue on bald patch. I’ve been diagnosed with Telogen effluvium, seb derm, AGA, and bacterial folliculitis. However, the fourth derm said I failed the pull test. Unsure what to do as all the derms did not favor scarring alopecia even though the biopsy on the patch came back as scarring. Should I see another dermatologist or am I just worrying?

Hello and thank you for your question. If you have not already done so, I suggest a full blood panel be done to see exactly what is going on before you do anything else. There are lots of possibilities of what could be causing your hair loss. Best of luck to you.
