Recently tested positive for gastric parietal cells - can gut issues cause hair loss?

After a diagnosis back in 2021 of long covid i have had hair loss and stomach issues. I have since been told i have fphl and been put on treatment but the hair loss persists. Recently i tested positive for gastric parietal cells is there a chance stomach issues could be making the hair loss worse?

Since the screening test for antibodies against gastric parietal cells is a diagnostic tool for chronic autoimmune gastritis, which could be the cause of pernicious anemia, it's important to consider. Any type of anemia can lead to hair loss, as it affects the ability of red blood cells to carry oxygen needed to nourish the hair follicles. Additionally, long COVID can also result in telogen effluvium, another form of hair loss. Therefore, I recommend getting blood work done to check for anemia, serum vitamin B12, serum vitamin B1, serum total vitamin D, TSH, serum ferritin, ESR, and ANA levels to rule out any correctable causes of hair loss.
