What happens if you cannot afford a second set of veneers?

veneers last about 10 years, if what i’ve read on them is correct, if this is after shaving down the original teeth what happens when the 10 years is up. i know you can just get a second set obviously but i’m the event you’re financially unable to do this what happens?

Ten years is a very safe bet. As auth anything, maintenance is important. With proper home care and regular dental check ups, veneers can last a very long time.

Hi:Veneer replacement is mainly due to gum recession, chips or cavity.  The material does not break down after 10 years.  The best way to prolong the life of your veneers is to have good oral hygiene at home and get regular check ups.  In addition make sure to use a soft bristle tooth brush.Best,Dr. Maddahi

As you just stated, veneers can last ABOUT 10 years. This is an average. They will not all of a sudden pop off and break. We have many patients with the same veneers on for 15 and even 25 years.
