Just looking at your photos, the one thing that jumped out to me is too much showing of the white part of your eyes along the lower eyelids. Some people naturally have this eye shape. Some people have surgery to get this eye shape as they want bigger appearing eyes. Some people get this after lower eyelid surgery due to shortening of either the skin, the eye septum, or the eyelid muscle. If this bothers you, you should get it fixed as it is already 1 year from the surgery and it is unlikely to get better on its own. I recommend a plastic surgeon with a lot of experience with revision surgery or someone who has extra training in the face. You may need a cheek lift in addition to correction of the lower eyelid position. Good luck.Han LT Hoang, MDBoard Certified Plastic SurgeonHuntington Beach, CA
If you want an assessment regarding the outcome of any plastic surgery procedure, I suggest posting with proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before, and after pictures, then contact your surgeon and ask them to forward the pictures they took.We can’t begin to make an assessment regarding the outcome of a procedure if we don’t know what you look like before. Before moving forward with surgery as a medical treatment option, we need to have a clear understanding of what the underlying problem or ideology is.Operating for the sake of operating isn’t going to do much unless you know why and what you’re treating. are you having blurred or double vision?Personally, I don’t see a problem but then again, I don’t know what you look like before the procedure.Best,Mats Hagstrom, MD

If only a blepharoplasty is done, it does not typically worsen the eyelid ptosis, and can even improve it slightly. What can be worse is if you have any underlying brow ptosis, as the forehead no longer has to work to raise the eyebrows so that you can see out of your eyes, and therefore relaxes...
