Only blepharoplasty with beginning ptosis?

If properly performed, uppwr blepharoplasty should not affect ptosis; it should stay the same. However, if recognized before eyelid surgery and discussed with patient, ptosis correction may be a very simple

I would be highly skeptical of any meaningful answer you get without posting a current photograph. Generally, if you have ptosis, don't get talked into only having blepharoplasty with correcting or at least stabilizing the ptosis at the time of blepharoplasty. I do this in 100% of the blepharoplasties. If nothing is done, yes the upper blepharoplasty will worsen the upper eyelid ptosis. You will regret not having this managed at the same time. If your upper eyelids are like the image posted two years ago, I question if you need blepharoplasty and am curious about your actual degree of ptosis. If you have changed so much in this time frame that you now have ptosis, then most definitely it should be addressed at the time of blepharoplasty. I recommend finding a surgeon who actually knows what they are doing and understands that blepharoplasty destablised upper eyelid ptosis and can make it worse after blepharoplasty.

If only a blepharoplasty is done, it does not typically worsen the eyelid ptosis, and can even improve it slightly. What can be worse is if you have any underlying brow ptosis, as the forehead no longer has to work to raise the eyebrows so that you can see out of your eyes, and therefore relaxes uncovering a brow ptosis that was not identified prior to surgery.
