Can I whiten teeth under veneers? (Photo)

Hi I had veneers done six months ago and they're yellow. I went back to dentist who dismissed my concerns and said I was given the option of whitening before he did the veneers. I am hoping I can whiten my teeth underneath the veneers otherwise I have spent. 4k for nothing. Please help.

your dentist is right. after veneering , u can't do anything . whitening is not possible under veneers.

this is not true.when you perform veneers, you shave down the teeth, and you go all the way to the dentin, which is yellow, and it cannot be whitened, so if they told you that, its not true, the veneers,are fine laminates, of porcelain, and they will be translucent, and if the tooth is yellow the veneers will look yellow, from the beginning those veneers needed to be crowns ,metal free, zyrconium, so the color would not apear on the aesthetic areas.
