Can I apply 30% glycolic acid to my armpits as they are a bit dark?

I'm thinking about start applying a chemical peeling at home (30% glycolic acid) in my armpits because they are a bit dark. Is it safe? Should I do a minimum number of sessions or does that number not matter?

Glycolic acid is safe and effective for treating mild hyperpigmentation, however you should always consult a physician or skincare professional before starting a new treatment. Glycolic acid is also an AHA which causes the skin to be more sun sensitive so you should always use SPF when using those products.
