Thank you for your question, This needs an in-person evaluation. I suggest seeing a hair loss expert now to evaluate and go over your condition and provide you information about your best treatment options. There are great non-invasive options like prp/progesterone and/or hair transplantation. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Either PRP or Hair Transplant restoration is possible, but it will depend on your goals for your hairline. I strongly suggest meeting with a Hair Surgeon for Trichoscopy examination of your hair follicles. You may be a great candidate for PRP if your scalp presents a good amount of miniaturized hairs. PRP is beneficial for restoring growth factors and enabling cellular mechanisms that can turnover a dormant hair follicle into a viable, growing one. Best, Dr. Anil Shah
The answer to that question depends upon how long the hair has been miniaturizing and your age. If it's less than 3 years, the opportunity for PRP to work is good. Other factors include genetics and the degree of hair loss. We recommend three or four monthly treatments follow by maintenance treatments using subdermal Depo injections. Hi, thank you for your question. Based on your photo I believe that you are a candidate for the PRP treatment. PRP tends to work on thinning areas, not areas that are shiny/bald. I would recommend trying out series of four treatments and see if there is an improvement in your hair growth before considering hair transplant surgery. Please seek a certified health care provider to determine if you are an ideal candidate for the procedure.
Hair loss needs to be evaluated for a medical cause initially. Once medical issues such as thyroid, anemia, nutritional deficiency or other autoimmune disease have been ruled out, the more common causes such as male pattern loss can be entertained. Propecia/finasteride is an oral FDA approved treatment for hair loss, as is Rogaine for men. PRP is FDA cleared for hair loss, but would not be my 1st option in most hair loss cases. In general PRP aka platelet rich plasma consists of a series of 4 injection sessions spaced 1 month apart followed by every 6 month treatments. Make sure the PRP tubes used are cleared for the purpose of reinfection and that you are getting good PRP without RBC's or WBC's. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. Based on your photos you seem to be a good candidate for PRP. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is found in your blood. These platelets are lush with growth factors, which help heal injuries and reverse hair loss. When isolated, PRP can be injected into your scalp to stimulate hair growth. PRP treatments typically take 15-30 minutes. For more information, please make sure you get a in person consultation from a board-certified dermatologist.
Based on the limited photo provided, it appears that the hair follicles are still present in the frontal hairline and thus PRP should be started asap to try to preserve and stimulate these follicles to produce more hair. The best recommendation is to have a consultation with a board certified specialist who can assist you with achieving the results you seek.
Hi!You can consider these two options but FIRST, you should see your aesthetic physician. He will evaluate the quality of your donor hair area. This will help to predict the success rate of a futur hair transplant. PRP is also a good option if your hair lost happened in the recent past years and if your gold is to stop the hair lost and regain a bit of hair in that area. More informations and discussions with your physician will help you to choose the good option. Maybe you will like to start PRP and keep hair transplant if you have no-low answer.
That would depend on how long the loss has been going on. PRP works best for hair lost over the past 3-5 years. A transplant may be an option depending on other factors such as age, family history of hair loss, donor hair available and hair loss in other areas. You should also work on preventing furhter loss. I would suggest a consult with a hair loss physician to discuss all of your options including not only PRP and surgery but also minoxidil (Rogaine), klaser therapy (LLLT) and finasteride (Propecia) and come up with a maintenance plant that works for you.
Based on your photo I think you should try PRP first. You have enough hair to cover the bald spots when using PRP. Hair transplant is more of a sure thing but it may be a bit more expensive.
PRP injections are generally very well tolerated. There may be some skin swelling and redness after an injection but that should not last for very long, certainly not ten days. It could be due to trauma from the needle used for the injection but may not be related at all. It...
The first thing to double check is the veracity of your medical diagnosis, to see if TE is what you’re suffering from. If there are signs of pattern baldness or another, more severe, hair loss condition, you will want to know that before starting a topical or surgical program As to your q...
Itching is likely the DHT blocking shampoo (if it contains ketoconazole). There are a couple of peptides that help heal hair follicles and promote hair growth (one of which blocks the DHT receptor on your scalp). A LaserCap would improve your overall results.
