Question

When you get a reaction so called over reaction and it wasn't mixed a head of time, will you still get well, will it pass and leave the body sooner or later any way?

Thank you for your question. Sculptra does not mix readily, and takes time to go into solution well, thus the 24-48 hour times people use. The product still has a 25 month life expectancy, and will be as durable, the difference is the mixed version with 48 hours has a better chance of not forming into nodules. I hope this helps.

Sculptra is not intended for immediate use after hydration. I wait 48-72 hours before using it, and store it in a warm place for easier injection and a more comfortable experience for my patients.

	Even if used improperly, the side effects will resolve over time and the potential for long-term problems is extremely remote. These effects can take 1-2 years to resolve, and the potential benefits last that long as well. I hope you are doing well; best wishes! Dr. Tholen

Hi Cream Maker, Sculptra should not be used immediately after it is reconstituted. It should be allowed to sit for at least 24 to 48 hours, we prefer 72 hours in our practice. It would be a poor medical decision to inject it against the recommendations that have made Sculptra a safer product with much less chance of complications. Good luck and be well. Dr. P

Sculptra should be reconstituted at least 48 hours before injecting it.  It lasts for about 2 years and then the Sculptra effect is gone.
