Answer: Here I Read Sculptra Needs to Be Mixed 24 Hour Before
I cannot speak to your injector's reconstitution method. Each Sculptra injector has their preferred method of reconstitution. Personally, I allow at least 48 hours to hydrate the product and use a 9mL final dilution per vial. You will find read about many methods of reconstitution but this works very well in my practice.

Answer: Preparation for Sculptra Injections
Thanks for the question. In my practice, we reconstitute the Sculptra powder material with 5 mL of sterile water and 2 mL of 1% lidocaine (local anesthesia) at least 48-72 hours before treatment. The product is kept in the refrigerator until the day of treatment. This allows the product to go into solution to minimize the risk of granuloma formation, which are little bumps that rarely form under the skin after treatment. I also massage the treated area extensively after the procedure. Patients then continue this for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days. I have not had a single Sculptra patient with a granuloma formation following this regimen. If you have experienced granuloma formation from a previous injection, you should have your face assessed by a facial plastic surgeon, cosmetic dermatologist, or plastic surgeon who is skilled and experienced in regards to Sculptra injections. Injection of Kenalog (a steroid) may be appropriate.
Best regards,
Dr. Mehta

Answer: Sculptra injections
For best results with Sculptra, it should be reconstituted at least 48 hours before injection. For temples, cheeks and chin, a 9-10 ml final dilution is used but it may be more dilute when used in other areas. With this method, it is easier to inject, there is more even distribution and less chance of nodules.

Answer: Sculptra is easier to use if it is allowed to dissolve over hours.
I have worked with Sculptra since it first was released.
It is a great product, but is more difficult to inject than other materials such as Juviderm and Radiesse. The material does not dissolve when mixed, but rather goes into a suspension.
It is more difficult to inject if time is not allowed for it to go into suspension because it tends to clog the needle. We use a lot of it so we always keep it mixed up and try to leave it overnight.
However, we will use it after six hours if we run short, but have not used it immediately after mixing it.
