Hi Library Lady,Emsculpt may be used on patients with hip replacement. The electromagnetic energy should not be directed over the hips. Emsculpt should not be used immediately above any metal implants in the abdomen or buttocks. As with any procedure it is very important that you share with your treating physician any history of implants. Good luck and be well.Dr. P
Thank you for your question. A safe rule would be to avoid using EmSculpt right above metal implants. Examples would be copper IUDs. However, we have treated people who have had titanium implants without problem as this is doesn't get affected by the electromagnetic fields. I would make sure you mention all surgeries, procedures you have had during your EmSculpt consultation.
Hi, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, a metal implant is a contraindication to the Emsculpt device. Therefore, you would not be an ideal candidate for the treatment. Please seek a certified health care provider to determine if there are other options for you.
Yes, we usually recommend that Emsculpt treatments are not done over any metallic implants in the area of treatment, but as long as there is no metal in the area of treatment, I think especially in the abdominal area if you have hip replacement that is outside the field of contact you should be fine. It is also important to know what sort of implant, a titanium implant will not react with the electromagnetic pulse from emsculpt, but it is really important to consult your doctor.
Thank you for your question. You can still have an Emsculpt treatment even after a hip replacement. It’s best to consult your provider. Please make sure you get a in person consultation from a board-certified dermatologist.

Yes absolutely. Emsculpt uses HIFEM (Electromagnetic pulsed energy) to achieve supramaximal contractions of your muscles emulating doing 20,000 crunches in a 30 minute session. It is clinically proven to build muscle and also melt fat simultaneously. However, Emsculpt is not...
