Why do my sides (oblique area) feel tight after Lipo?

It is very common to have bruising and swelling for weeks to months after liposuction procedures. What is most important is that you follow your surgeons post operative instructions and continue compression. Thousands of small spaces are created in the fat layers after liposuction. All of these form membranes of scar tissue that slowly contract. Scar tissue is made of collagen. Collagen changes its molecular structure over time. This is called remodeling or cross-linking. This process can go on for many months, but it should be coming to its completion in the next few months for you. Sensory nerves are also partially damaged for a while after liposuction. Sensation typically comes back to normal. During the phase of nerve regeneration or nerve healing, strange sensations can be felt as well.
