Does bonding hurt? I am very terrified to go to the dentist.

I recently have been having some pain in my tooth and my mom said it could be a chip and I am very terrified to do to the dentist is there anything I could do at home to stop the pain for good?

Dental bonding is the most conservative cosmetic dentistry procedures! Dental bonding does not hurt, in some cases no Anesthesia is needed, and basically the tooth can be roughened and bonded to!No worries, you should see a dentist if you need dental bonding, an do not worry about a thing!

I would recommend you have an exam with your local dentist.  If it is simply a chipped tooth then a small bonded filling may be an option to fix the tooth.  If the tooth is chipped because underlying decay has weakened the tooth then the longer you wait the worse the tooth can get and potentially cause you more pain.  Fixing a problem when it is small is much easier, less traumatic and less expensive than when it gets larger! Let your dentist know you have some dental anxiety and they can do extra steps to make you comfortable.

It's best to see a dentist for a routine check up and cleaning biannually. If you have a chipped tooth and need the attention of the dentist, you should not wait as things only progress to get worse with time. Perhaps you can find a dentist by asking close family or friends and go in for a consult before doing any treatment to get yourself familiar with the dentist and slowly overcome your fear of seeing the dentist. If Bonding is truly all you need there is nothing to worry about. It does not hurt and often times requires no anesthetic. There really isn't anything you can do at home. And if the chip is due to a cavity under the chip then you want to see a dentist now so that it can be fixed before the cavity progresses.
